In essence, pick-mes have low self esteem, which means they're highly insecure. People with low self esteem and high insecurity are doormats, which is what these pick-me girls are. Pretty privilege is not going anywhere.

I think, the main problem is that „therapy thinking“. Like reach out- to whom? Nobody wants you when you have to reach out. And a therapist is a worker, doing it for the pay. So it‘s just as much not real as an AI friend. 50 years ago, it was normal and natural, that people talked about their problems to real people. Often, they couldn‘t even get fired- so the problem just had to be solved. Nowadays, it just got easier and easier to leave people behind, to leave people out of society. To leave people to unreal listeners- payed therapists, actors who pretend to care and learned some well sounding phrases in psychology. But you won‘t get real friends or partners from a therapy. They can teach me to pretend to fit in- but I can do that on my own, I just don‘t want to anymore. I want to be myselfe and appretiated for that. That is impossible today…

I think it‘s true for everyone, that a partner, that doesn‘t make our life better is not helpful (and I’m a guy and don’t want an empty relationship, I want a real one). But the real question is- how is that possible that people become such assholes, jerks, idiots, whatever, that noone benefits the others emotionally? Like we try to survive the time we have to spend together at work, but we hate each other- and that‘s what we call society or nation?? Dude, I call that „enemy territory“. I call home a place, where I can connect, tell my jokes and people love it, tell my ideas and people appretiate it, hear ideas that help me out or help me grow. Not setbacks, discouraging, bullying or even getting lynched for a joke or idea/opponion.
